Lou Weady is a relative new comer to Guilford, having arrived here from Wallingford in 1945. He graduated from Guilford High School with the great class of 1958, and received an MBA from the University of New Haven.
After a stint as head teller at the Guilford Savings Bank and learning the printing trade at the Shore Line Times under the wing of Master Printer Henry Delucia, Lou decided to start Royal Printing in 1959. Lou now shares the running of the company with his wife Susan Victoria Meek Weady. Royal has evolved to a fully electronic and automated full color house for printing, mailing and graphics of all sorts.
Lou has been a member of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen and various committees for non-profits – Chestnut Hill Concerts, Orchestra New England, Guilford Community Fund, Guilford Rotary Club to name a few.
Lou attends St. George Church, acts as a Trustee and a member of the Choir for the past 57 years.
“I look forward to working and serving the people of this community for many more years.”
The Guilford Community Fund is honored to have Lou Weady serve as our Honorary Chairperson.
